Important Harvest-time Reminders
- Fruit and leaf diseases are usually of concern at this time of the year. Refer to the MDA’s Integrated Pest Management Manual for Minnesota Strawberry Fields at: www.mda.state.mn.us/ipm/berrymanual
- Continue to monitor your customer service. Develop or update your customer mailing list, and remember to ask for suggestions for next year.
- For those doing pre-picked sales, remember the importance of cooling berries to prolong shelf life. Once picked, get those berries out of the sun and into the cooler.
