Minnesota Grown Program - 2005Brian Erickson, MDA
This years' directory includes 584 farms and markets scattered from Worthington to Warren , including more than 100 offering apples and 120 with berries. The online version is attracting 4,000 - 5,000 unique visits per month. It includes all the information in the printed directory, plus hot links to grower websites and interactive maps to help consumers. Online listings may be updated any time. The Directory is sponsored this year by television stations Fox 9 and UPN 29 who have been providing an extensive schedule of on-air promotional ads as part of that sponsorship package. Also watch their websites http://www.fox9.com/ and http://www.wftc.com/ for online promotion of Minnesota Grown products like berries and apples, links to Minnesota Grown, and more. "Official Meteorologist" messages and Community Calendar mentions of Minnesota Grown products round out that package of benefits for Minnesota Grown members.
