June 20th– Field Day at The Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center, near Hastings, MN with guest speaker Professor Mark Whalon of Michigan State University . Dr Whalon's main interest is developing functioning ecosystems in the orchard and developing means to measure and manage this. He is one of the key researchers involved at MI State University”s organic apple orchard. Advance registration is required by June 13th. A form is available on the website: www.mosesorganic.org/treefruit/events.htm Cost is $15 per person and lunch is provided. Event is rain or shine.
