Research-based articles to support timely fruit and vegetable pest, and crop management decisions.

Newsletter Update - 2009

To Readers of the MN Fruit & Vegetable IPM News,

The MN Fruit & Vegetable IPM News will no longer be published due to budget constraints and a loss of external funding. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture will have the Fruit IPM Newsletter available via email to those who are interested in apple and strawberry pest updates and related IPM information. In addition, the Newsletter will occasionally have other fruit and vegetable articles of interest. The newsletter, in various formats, has been published for the past 10 years. We thank our many colleagues and cooperators who have provided information and ideas for numerous articles.

The University of Minnesota will keep all on-line versions of MN Fruit & Vegetable IPM News archived, as these are valuable to refer back to (http://www.vegedge.umn.edu/MNFruit&VegNews/mnindex.htm). Also, to maintain continuity with the related industries and connections with growers, the Vegetable IPM Program will post on-line Pest Alerts as needed during the 2009 season, and maintain weekly ECB and CEW Moth Flight updates on the VegEdge site, as in previous years. An email will be sent notifying you when a Pest Alert is posted.

Regards,

Jean Ciborowski, MN Dept. of Agriculture
Bill Hutchison, University of Minnesota
