Managing Pests in Landscapes & Homes - a Homeowner’s Guide to Integrated Pest Management in Minnesota

Minnesota homeowners have a new resource guide to turn to when dealing with common pests in their homes and landscapes. Published by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), “Managing Pests in Landscapes & Homes - a Homeowner’s Guide to Integrated Pest Management in Minnesota” includes descriptions of common insects, weeds, plant diseases and wildlife problems and what you can do about them. Photographs in this full color book will help you identify the pests so you can choose the proper control method.

“Managing Pests in Landscapes & Homes” was written in collaboration with staff from the University of Minnesota. Contributing authors include Michelle Grabowski, Jeffrey Hahn, Dr. Dean Herzfeld and Robert Mugaas from the University’s Extension Service and Jennifer Menken from the University’s Bell Museum of Natural History.

This free publication was funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  You can view and download the book on line at www.mda.state.mn.us/plants/pestmanagement/ipm/homeipmguide.htm
You can also request a free copy by emailing Jeanne Ciborowski at jeanne.ciborowski@state.mn.us. Please include your name and mailing address.
