New Fact Sheets Available on VegEdge

Colorado Potato Beetle: This summer, Drs. Dave Ragsdale and Ted Radcliffe, Department of Entomology, University of Minnesota, completed a new fact sheet for midwest growers. In addition to reviewing life cycle of the beetle, the fact sheet is unique in that it covers pest management options for conventional, organic and home garden growers. As many growers know, Colorado potato beetle can be a devastating pest on potato and eggplant. The fact sheet can be viewed at: http://www.vegedge.umn.edu/vegpest/cpb.htm

Garlic Production: During the past year, Dr. Carl Rosen (lead author), Soil Water and Climate, University of Minnesota, completed a new production guide for Garlic in the midwest. The guide reviews all aspects of production and potential insect and pathogen pests. The guide can be viewed at: http://www.extension.umn.edu/Documents/D/C/DC7317.html
