Many resources are currently available for weed identification. Listed below are just a few of the tools that are available. Books Weeds of the Northeast - Richard H. Uva, Joseph C. Neal, and Joseph M. DiTomaso. Contains descriptions and color pictures of 299 weeds from Wisconsin to Maine and southern Canada to Virginia. Distinguishing features of weeds are highlighted with bold text and a dichotomous key for all 299 species is included. This book can be ordered from Cornell University Press (http://www.cornellpress.cornell.edu) for $29.95. Weeds of Canada and the Northern United States - France Royer and Richard Dickinson. Contains descriptions, color pictures, and illustrations of 175 weed species. Available from the University of Alberta Press and also available for order online through amazon.com. Weeds of Nebraska and the Great Plains - James Stubbendieck, Geir Y. Friisoe, and Margaret R. Bolick. Includes narratives of 396 weeds with line drawings and color pictures. Available for $25 from the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.
